Each stage is individually versioned and independently scalable. You can point any stage at your own storage at any time - the data model stays yours.
Field-side collectors speak the protocol, not you: OPC UA, S7 comm, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, file drops. Store-and-forward survives a week of network silence.
Tags become typed entities with units, qualities and machine states. Schema drift is detected and flagged, not silently propagated.
Fan out to historians, databases, message buses or the Ostwerk query API - with per-subscriber retention and backpressure.
Threshold, pattern and stateful rules fire with full production context. Webhooks and REST calls carry order, batch and shift references.
